The story in short
When her date falls through, the Hartleys' babysitter accepts a ride home from the husband. She turns his polite gesture into a puzzle he has no easy answer to, especially with his ring resting on the steering wheel.
The short drive becomes a test of a married man's restraint, with his ring, the quiet car and the title all hinting at how that test is likely to go.
